Securing Y7 Foundations is a series of lessons for teachers to work through with those Y7 students who have not met numeracy age-related expectations in Y6 and need additional support. This is delivered in small groups for 30 minutes, 3 times per week, and is designed to lead to improvement in foundational Maths knowledge. In Autumn Term 2024, of the 14 students assigned to this intervention, 35% of students made expected progress, and an additional 50% made more than expected progress, in the Securing Y7 Foundations programme.
