abc to read

A small group of weaker readers read with an ABC to read volunteer, one-to-one for two thirty-minute sessions per week. The student’s reading is scored on a fluency rubric before and after the intervention to measure progress in expression and volume; phrasing; smoothness; and pace. In Autumn Term 2024, of the 3 students assigned to this intervention, 33% made expected progress, and 66% made more than expected progress in reading aloud.
